The Supported Employment Manager oversees day to day functions of the Supported Employment Program.

Supported Employment Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director of Vocational Services with the daily operations of the Supported Employment Program.
  • Supervises and evaluates all DSP/Job Coaches. Schedules individual and team meetings on a regular basis. 
  • Monitors all DSP schedules, PTO requests, coverage for enclaves and mobile crews.
  • Oversight of Precision Care data input, SAP's and IPO's.
  • Submits all SE billing within mandated timeframes.
  • Monitors and tracks all case reviews for timely completion and implementation of SAP's and IPO's.
  • Ensures completion and certification of Monthly Summaries.
  • Ensures compliance with all OPWDD, Medicaid and ACCES-VR regulations and guidelines.
  • Assists in preparing for audits.
  • Assists in preparing for audits and schedules regular auditing of files for both OPWDD and ACCES-VR. Coordinates enclave opportunities with vocational management in determining the resources necessary to meet subcontract demands.
  • Investigates and researches potential business opportunities and/or the expansion of current business ventures for Arc of Genesee Orleans, including NYSID and other government set aside contracts. Prepares proposals and reports, highlighting key benefits of new or expanding ventures for approval and/or further consideration. 
  • Represents the agency at various external functions.
  • Maintains knowledge DOL regs and OSHA standards as applicable to individuals served.
  • Assists in determining the pricing, delivery and other details relative to mobile crews and enclave opportunities.
  • Insures the completion of any records and reports required by the agency and/or funding and monitoring services within the scope of assigned worksites. e. Source America IEE evals, ACCES-VR reports, SEMP reports, NYESS data input.
  • Assists with researching and identifying opportunities for those who chose individual job placements in the community.
  • Maintains regular contact with existing and previous customers to communicate capabilities and opportunities. Addresses customer concerns and keep customers apprised of current trends and opportunities.
  • Current NYS Drivers' License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the agency.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or working towards Bachelor Degree in related field.
  • Experience: 3 years experience providing vocational services to individuals with disabilities required.
  • Supervisory: Experience in Supported Employment and supervision preferred.

The Details

  • Local travel within Genesee and Orleans County.
  • Monday-Friday, Days (may need to work an occassional weekend and/or holiday).
  • Fulltime, 40 hours per week including paid meal break.
