Keeping people healthy and safe is more important than ever.  ArcGO provides essential services to people with developmental disabilities. We have an opening for a Nurse Supervisor in our Residential program.

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating delivery of medical and nursing services at locations throughout Genesee and Orleans Counties. 

Responsibilities of a Nurse Supervisor:

  • Provides supervision to Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Monitors their work for overall appropriateness and follow through.
  • Ensures nursing services are provided in compliance with regulatory guidelines and agency policy and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains a master schedule of all health-related appointments. Coordinates with Registered Nurses, Residential Managers, and Assistant Residential Managers to ensure the scheduling and coverage of all health-related appointments.
  • Is responsible for the collection of all medical data including annual physical examination, GYN exam, lab results, dental, vision, and hearing tests. Completes quarterly nursing assignments as needed.  Conducts regularly scheduled QA audits for health services at all sites.
  • Ensures supports are provided during OPWDD survey audits and collaborates with the Director of Residential Services to provide a written plan of correction.
  • Ensures completion of Annual Nursing Assignment and Health Care Plan; completes Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual Review and monthly narratives; completes nursing notes regularly to include recording acute illnesses.
  • Provide education and guidance to Nurses to provide appropriate and ongoing healthcare services and promote Individualized Person-Centered Approach to Service Planning.
  • This position has on-call responsibilities.

Status:  Full-Time, Exempt

Qualifications:

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • BSN preferred with 1 year OPWDD experience. Will accept AAS degree plus 3 years experience.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience is required.
  • Valid NYS Drivers' License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the agency.
  • Local travel between Orleans and Genesee Counties required.
