Status:  Full-Time, Part-Time, Per Diem

Location: Orleans County

What a Registered Nurse looks like:

• Coordinates delivery of medical and nursing services at various locations throughout the agency.
• Responsible for the collection of medical data and works as a liaison between health care providers and staff.
• Maintains a current formulary system and reviews medication, use and side effects, with staff. 
• Provides in-service training regarding the effects of medications, over the counter medications, and additional training as needed.
• Assists in the supervision of the implementation of health-related procedures by staff.
• Maintains on-call responsibilities as assigned to include responding to calls from Staff within 15 minutes, as well as providing direct assistance at Residential sites or medical facilities for emergencies.
• Completes regular nursing notes and updates medical policies and procedures.

Skills Needed:

• Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Must be able to become certified in Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) and be able to implement when needed.
• Punctuality and excellent attendance required.

Education Required:

• AAS Degree in Nursing from an accredited Hospital Program or BSN Nursing.
• Current license to practice in New York State as a Registered Nurse.
• Accepting recent RN graduates!
• Valid NYS Drivers' License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the agency.
